Adobe excel on LinkedIn

LinkedIn have introduced a new type of Page to complement its Company Pages - Showcase Pages.

Dedicated Showcase Pages are an extension of Company Pages that allow you to highlight a particular product or service. In the same way that people can Follow your Company Page, they can also Follow your Showcase Page. Both require quite a lot of effort to gain results as you have to work on building your following by providing worthwhile updates and informing people of their existence.

However, if you have the resources to update and a marketing budget they’re certainly worth considering. With a budget you can take advantage of Sponsored Updates which can help you reach a wide audience - read How to use LinkedIn Sponsored Updates.

An example of a Company who’s using both types of Pages well is Adobe, who have an excellent Company Page and 2 Showcase Pages; one for Adobe Marketing Cloud and another for Adobe Creative Cloud.

Showcase Pages have been designed by LinkedIn for “building long-term relationships with members who want to follow specific aspects of your business”. I’d recommend creating a Showcase Page when you want to establish a dedicated page to represent a brand, product, service or company initiative. But make sure you have a plan for maintaining an active presence and preferably a budget to fund Sponsored Updates.
