Organisation such as charities and councils are increasingly using social media to engage with their stakeholders. A great example is the Ruthless Park – Churchdown Skatepark Facebook Group. (Group not linked as it’s a Closed Group).
Originally setup by a skater wanting a new skate park, Churchdown Parish Council subsequently joined the Group to find out more and to engage with young people in the area. The Parish Council found it a great way to communicate and to feedback. The culmination of this conversation amongst all parties resulted in a new Skate Park opening on 9 December.
