How to do Twitter marketing in real time #SuperBowl
When I talk about the benefits of Twitter marketing in workshops I always stress that a key advantage is it’s real time nature. A illustration of this can be seen in the creative tweets posted when the power was out during the Super Bowl on Sunday night. You can see some examples below. The quick thinking social media teams of the brands involved were rewarded with numerous retweets and mentions. This provided massive exposure for their brand and products without any advertising budget.
Contrast the power, effectiveness and value of these tweets compared with say a poster which needs to be designed, printed, distributed and paid for; a process which takes several days.
