UWE’s social media index page
If you are using a number of social networks have you thought about creating a dedicated social media index page showcasing them on your website?
An example of this great approach comes from the University of the West of England who have a Follow us page explaining what each of their social networks does along with links to each of their profiles.
UWE also have an additional social media index page which lists all the accounts belonging to each of their departments.
Social media index pages are valuable to website visitors as they explain the purpose of each social network and the benefits of using them. It also provides a single view of an organisation’s or company’s full social presence and can highlight social networks that visitor’s might not be familiar with along with easy access to each profile.
